Honestly I have to work to succeed at growing things. My problem is that I start out good and then lose interest. Thank goodness for my hubby who picks up the slack or I would have nothing:)

I have had pumpkins grow that way just by throwing the seed on the ground. I have never had any luck getting watermelons to grow. I really don't know why because they are suppoused to grow real well...

That actually does sound like a great place for a Weeping Willow tree. I just wish that we had the room for one. They are big beautiful trees.

I have never heard this concerning flowerbeds but like the above poster stated I do know that you don't want to plant trees right next to the house.

My goodness do they grow fast. The ones we just planted are really full already. I have a question the flowers that sprout out of the top are you suppoused to cut them?

We have some that whoever had our house before us must have planted. I have no clue what kind they are but they are beautiful and I have yet to do anything with them.

We had a pine tree that was brown at the top. It was this way for years. We just recently cut it down. It never got any worse just some brown branches at the top.

I hear you on the fencing. It is quite expensive and you would need to have a pretty high fence. Can't deer jump pretty high?
