Haha, those are really cute! Thanks for sharing them!
There are some foods that have actually gotten cheaper? Well, if you can call them foods anyway. Wow. I do think it's unfortunate that it the foods we really need are going so high up in price,...
I've always had a fascination with those who can successfully grow grape vines year after year. I haven't the slightest idea how to start myself, though, so any beginner tips?
When I was growing up, we always seemed to have tons of butterflies in our yards and gardens. I don't seem to have that now, though, so what should I do to attract them more?
What's your favorite plant, tree, veggie, etc to grow in the garden? Why's it your favorite?
Are you someone with a green thumb or do you really have to work to succeed in gardening?
^ That's what I was thinking. You need to give the water somewhere to go, so create some small holes and ruffle up the soil a bit so it doesn't compact quite as bad.
Oh wow, that's a huge fire hazard! You would think the manager would want to change it for that reason alone instead of risking it going crazy and damaging the area.
Just make it yourself! It doesn't even need to be red....they'll be attracted anyway, so no worries about that. Look up a recipe for the exact proportions of sugar and water.
Well have you checked out the stores in your local area? You might be surprised what they can offer.
After you cut them, take them inside and run the bottoms under water, while cutting the stems again at an angle. You can buy stuff to add to the water you place your flowers in as well, but remember...
That sounds like a great place to put it. That's always the trickiest part...finding a location where it can survive for years without being a huge issue for you. Good luck!
Do any of you put out feeders to attract hummingbirds? We have several and it's amazing just how many of those gorgeous little birds have shown up over the years. It makes the whole area feel full of...
Definitely make sure you're choosing the right type for your area. Also, if it's very hot there, you probably have issues with not only the sun, but also the amount of water they're getting. Make...
Herbs are easy. I haven't had that much trouble with tomatoes, but I also grew up with my parents teaching me all the tricks to keeping them successful, so I'm sure that helps.
We tried growing them when I was younger and they ended up on the small side and not that great. We put a lot of effort in, so I haven't tried since...just doesn't seem worth it.
Awww, that's so sad. Hopefully you'll be able to find an explanation and have better luck in the future.
I was going to ask what your wedding colors were, but it sounds like you're already leaning toward sunflowers.
Oh wow, I would love one of those, but never wanted to put the money in to buy one.
We do this as well. For smaller gardens, it's not worth the effort of getting out a full-size tiller and using a hoe lets you get right in there where it needs to be broken up.
We've never had a variety without thorns, but that part never really bothered me. They're gorgeous to have and really aren't that hard to take care of.
